Post Duty
I was on duty yesterday and i must admit, i never enjoyed my saturday duty as much as i did yesterday. I assisted in Laparoscopic rectal surgery (the first here in the philippines) that lasted for almost 5 hours and after that i started induction in open cholecystectomy and am happy that my epidural worked haha then, i assisted in craniotomy, excision of tumor of multiple meniongioma that lasted for at least 6 hours.. wow that may seem tiring but am happy that i survived the day! and that i learned a lot. I pray that i maybe this inspired always to do my job. Ora et labora. and thank God for "Angels" that surround me. =)

Blog Revisited.
It has been a long time since i wrote here. And i had fun reading my past blogs. It has always been heartwarming to reminisce. One way or the other it would make you smile. Definitely, the Red Balloon blog seems to be true up until this moment. Am on my leave and i only have a few days left until i go back to the grind but, here i am, trying to finish my research protocol and i still have a few, in my to-do list that aren't crossed out. Well, it's supposed to be my leave and i am supposed to relax, but, time is of the essence. I have to make use of the precious time to catch up academically. I have to do justice to the people who support me and who keep pulling me up. One would always tell me that, there's no way but UP! I have been musing over the past year and i understand completely that am more built to be resilient and to face bigger responsibilities. So it's true that you can only connect the dots in your life looking backwards and not forward. I hope that when the dots have already been connected, i would see a great and wonderful picture.
On a side note: Reminiscing my Beijing trip last June 2-6, It was simply AMAZING plus the company was altogether FUN and Adventurous. Of course we went there for a Neurosurgical Anesthesia Symposium but we also explored the wonders of Beijing and tried new things! =) We were Anesth-ly HAPPY!!! ;)
